Six ways to record attendance — one timesheet

A terminal at the warehouse, a tablet at reception, a QR at the second door and GPS for the drivers. Every method runs through the same rules, so grace periods, overtime and night shifts behave identically whichever door someone used.

Biometric terminal

Fingerprint, face or card on a ZKTeco reader at the door. Punches push to the cloud over ADMS — no server on site. See the hardware →

Face kiosk on a tablet

Any tablet with a camera becomes a clock. It asks for a blink and a head turn, and keeps working with no connection. See the kiosk →

Rotating QR

A signed code on a screen at the entrance, replaced every 30 seconds. A photograph of it is worthless within a minute. How QR works →

GPS with geofence

Check in from the phone they already carry, inside a radius you set for each branch.

Mobile face check-in

For staff away from a terminal: a face match on their own phone, tied to that employee and to where they are.

Web check-in

For remote and hybrid staff, straight from the browser — no app and no hardware.

More than attendance

The UAE HR work nobody enjoys, done properly

Gratuity, leave salary, lawful deductions and warning letters are where attendance software usually stops and a spreadsheet takes over. This is where ours keeps going — with the article number printed next to the number it produced.

End of service & gratuity

21 days then 30, capped at 24 months, unpaid leave excluded — with a company-wide liability total and the article on every line.

Leave & leave salary

An auditable ledger rather than a derived balance, tenant-editable leave types, two-step approval and ten leave reports.

Loans & salary advances

Issue an advance and recover it through payroll, inside the 20% loan ceiling and the 50% overall cap. Excess carries forward.

Deductions & warnings

The nine Article 25 grounds with their ceilings, and an Article 39 sanction ladder that records the procedure instead of assuming it.

Payroll & WPS

Payroll built from the attendance you already collected, payslips, and a WPS SIF file in the MOL layout that reconciles to the payslip.

Visa & document expiry

Passport, Emirates ID, residence visa, labour card, medical insurance and contract, each with a colour-coded expiry state.

Why UAE businesses choose M1 TimePilot

Most UAE businesses still track attendance with spreadsheets, paper registers or a ZKTeco machine plugged into a single office PC. It works until you grow — then a second branch, night shifts, overtime and monthly WPS payroll turn timekeeping into hours of manual work and costly errors. M1 TimePilot removes that friction by moving your attendance to the cloud, where it is captured automatically and turned into accurate, payroll-ready data.

Built in Abu Dhabi for the UAE market, M1 TimePilot understands local realities: multi-branch operations, rotating and cross-midnight shifts, overtime rules, Wage Protection System payroll, and bilingual English/Arabic teams. It gives small and medium businesses the workforce tools large enterprises have — without the enterprise price tag or a lengthy implementation.

One platform for attendance, HR and payroll

Instead of stitching together separate tools, M1 TimePilot brings the whole employee lifecycle into one place. Add branches, departments and areas; enrol employees and their documents; connect your biometric devices; then build timetables, shifts and attendance rules. From that point, every check-in, check-out and break is recorded automatically and rolled up into live dashboards and reports.

Attendance then flows into payroll rules and WPS-ready exports, while an employee self-service portal lets staff check their own hours, request leave and view payslips — cutting the repetitive questions that fill an HR inbox. Role-based access keeps every manager to their own branch or department.

Works with your existing biometric devices

M1 TimePilot speaks the open ADMS / Cloud-Push protocol used by ZKTeco and many other biometric brands. Registering a device takes minutes: add its serial number, point its cloud server to device.m1timepilot.com on port 8989 with HTTPS, and punches begin flowing in real time. There is nothing to install on a PC and no local database to back up.

Because it is device-agnostic within the ADMS standard, you can keep the fingerprint, face-recognition and card readers you already own, and mix devices across branches. Remote and work-from-home staff clock in from their own phone — an installable web app with GPS, geofencing and optional face verification — alongside your fixed devices.

WPS-ready payroll, done right

In the UAE, salaries are paid through the Wage Protection System, and the accuracy of that payment depends entirely on your attendance data. M1 TimePilot converts real biometric punches into exact worked hours, overtime, lateness and leave, then applies your payroll rules to produce clean, WPS-ready figures. That means fewer disputes, faster monthly processing and a reliable record behind every salary.

Set up in an afternoon, not a quarter

Enterprise workforce systems are famous for long, expensive rollouts. M1 TimePilot is the opposite. Because it is cloud-based and device-agnostic, a typical business is live the same day: create your workspace, add your branches and employees, connect your existing ZKTeco or ADMS devices, and set your shifts and rules. Our documentation walks through each step, and support is available by email and WhatsApp if you need a hand.

Every plan includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required, so you can connect a real device and see your own attendance data before you commit. There are no long contracts and no per-feature upsells — every plan includes every module.

Secure, reliable and always available

Your workforce data is sensitive, so M1 TimePilot is served entirely over encrypted HTTPS with modern security headers, and each employee and manager only sees the records their role allows. Because the platform is in the cloud, there is no office server to fail, no database to back up by hand, and no risk of losing months of punches when a PC dies. Your data stays available from any location, on any device with a browser.

Made for the UAE and the wider GCC

From retail and construction to hospitality, healthcare, logistics and professional services, M1 TimePilot fits any organisation that needs to know who worked, when and where. It handles the shift patterns real UAE businesses run — split shifts, night shifts, Ramadan hours and cross-midnight rotas — and produces the WPS-ready payroll the market requires.

The entire platform is bilingual English and Arabic with full right-to-left support, making it a natural fit for teams across the UAE and the wider GCC. Whether you run one shop or a hundred sites, M1 TimePilot scales with you from a single dashboard.
